The title of this post was getting ridiculously long and really I needed to add the word “stick” to the end of it but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it.
I have been using it for the last week and love the glow (with powder over my forehand and down the middle of my face) but it’s breaking me out (my google search to see if this was the cause led me to your post Ruth). I have used Trinny London BFF tint for the last 9 years and I don’t get spots, ever. And yet since using the Unreal stick I’ve got four on more forehead and two on my chin! I’ve stopped using it and the spots have calmed down and no more have popped up leading me the believe it’s the cause. So, be warned people, there’s something in it that skin isn’t keen on.
I like CT eye products but find all the complexion ones too glowy. I’m a fan of Merit’s ‘The Minimalist’ stick…it also has some very long name. Looks very natural on.
I don’t wear face make up but bought this product after deciding I needed something to balance things out a bit skin-wise. I asked the CT sales girl for something easy, and light that would do this and this seemed perfect. Now I’m not so sure - my eyesight isn’t great and I hadn’t really noticed the shine. Having said that, I used it for the first time today and my lunch date friend just messaged me to say my skin looked amazing and I was ‘glowing’ so maybe it’s ok…
I couldn’t agree more! Loved it at first, then thought it doesn’t last. But I was thinking of it as a foundation. It’s much more like a tinted moisturiser. I’m not sure I’d buy it again, then I think how easy it is on a “I’m wearing no make up day” (but you need a little something!
I fell for the hype back in the summer and my pal said “I like your makeup” so that’s a good sign. Have absolutely run out of said stick which is very bewildering actually. Very fun review of stick by the way.
Maybe it’s a generational thing but whenever I see a woman wearing all over “glow” either on camera or IRL my brain immediately tells me she’s sweaty. Maybe slightly less on camera but there are some influencers who really promote the sweaty/metallic skin finish. I wonder if they slather themselves in Vaseline?
I think I love this stick, I do not foundation with it though. Might be being dense, but I saw a flash of a post with a pic of lots of foundations smeared on to a slab and I can't find it anymore - is this in fact it? I thought the other one was just about different types of foundation but I maybe missed it and it's been reinvented? Many thanks. x
I got two shades and the first one was so metallic it rendered almost shimmery green. I looked as though I was sea sick. But then the darker shade was sublime. Silky, sheer and glowy but not to the point of C3P0 cosplay. I do wonder whether certain batches don’t ‘cook’ as well and the shimmer/glow is more concentrated than others.
I too fell for the hype - I hate it and myself for falling for the tosh the brand spewed out about this product. There is no glow, it's chalky, it drags across the skin, it's hard to blend. The Bobbi Brown stick is so much better. I don't know why I ever purchase anything from the brand as everything I buy is always regretted.
Hmm, that doesn’t sound right! I’ve tried on counter and have had three samples and none have been chalky/dry, it should be really slippery. I’d send it back!
I absolutely love this product and bought it myself from the Selfridges beauty hall on the basis that the sales assistant looked like an actual angel, such was their glow. Their advice, quite rightly, was to go lightly and build up where required. I’ve not been well and am quite happy to glow like a beacon.
I really fell for the hype on this one (also a discount code) and I don’t love it - as a foundation actually I don’t like it at all - but now that I am travelling more for work I keep this and the Fenty stick in my travel bag and use the CT as a primer highlighty thingy and the Fenty on top. They are handy for travel. If ELF do a knock off of the stick that’s as good as their knock off of FF (90% as good for 30% of the price) I’ll definitely buy that.

Yes. I wonder whether it’ll find its permanent place in my routine or get left by the wayside eventually…
I’m not sure it will last as the weather warms up. I can see it slipping straight off!

Thanks!
I tried it on the back of my hand yesterday and really didn’t like the look of it, too shiny for me…
I’m a Fenty stick user too!

One of my posts?
I may be losing my mind…..

C3PO cosplay! 🤣

Your writing is so funny - I laughed out loud reading this. Thanks for putting fun into beauty 🩷
Thanks Mia!
I enjoyed the video at the end. Totally understand the too much shine, but it does look fresh.
I really enjoy using this foundation stick and I also receive compliments when I wear it! I think it suits you very well.
Thanks Tonya!

Beacon is absolutely THE RIGHT THING at this moment

Elf is killing it. Have you tried camo blush and the contour wand?
The contour wand yes, in two colours, vvg. The blush is in my basket - I want to do an in person colour check, or else I might end up with three 🙈
Foundation stick applied on a roller coaster? Another content idea ..
In Disney World 😂
This made me snort
Honestly, 2025 is going to be busy.
